With effective planning for differentiation the more able child will be challenged both physically and cognitively. For the less able child they have been set activities where they know they can be successful. With good differentiation, the teacher will notice that the children are more engaged in their learning and as a result there is likely to be less incidents of low level disruption and they will make good progress.
